Cox® Decompression Protocols
Dr. Cox defines the diagnosis relative to the application of protocol I and II and describes the application of each.
Dr. Cox defines the diagnosis relative to the application of protocol I (radiculopathy patients) and of protocol II (non-radiculopathy patients) and describes the application of each protocol. The treatment protocol description involves the cervical and/or lumbar treatment, education of the patient as to his/her condition, and the in-office ancillary care plan as well as the at-home care plan (bracing, exercise, nutrition, ergonomics) necessary to bring the patient back to his/her activities of daily living. Tolerance testing prior to Cox® Decompression Adjusting is covered thoroughly because of its medico-legal importance. Frequency of care and the standard of care of diminishing care is covered thoroughly for both protocol I and II. Dr. Cox defines when and under what conditions the patient is discharged or released to supportive care.

Cox® Technic Outcomes
Biomechanical and clinical comparison outcomes of Cox® Decompression Technique from the 3 federally funded HRSA grants.
During this ChiroChat session Dr. Cox shares the biomechanical and clinical comparison outcomes of Cox® Decompression Technique from the three federally funded HRSA grants.
The first covered the biomechanical changes of Cox® Technic (intradiscal pressure drop, patency creation of the spinal canal, intervertebral disc space increased height, afferentation, etc.).
The second compared medical/PT care conservative care to chiropractic Cox® Decompression Adjustment of acute lumbar spine pain patients.
The third, currently underway, compares medical/PT conservative care and chiropractic Cox® Decompression Adjustment of cervical spine pain patients.
A full discussion of the research literature regarding the effects of Cox® Technique will also ensue.
