Evidence-based practice is the combination of three key components: best research evidence + clinical expertise + patient preference. Cox® Technic continually works to bring these together by doing and supporting chiropractic RESEARCH (biomechanical to answer the "how" question and the clinical to answer the "how well" question) and sharing the outcomes, by training chiropractic physicians and improving their CLINICAL EXPERTISE in the protocols that research shows works (webinars, hands-on workshops, live weekend courses), and by relieving patient pain to build PATIENT PREFERENCE (as well as physician preference to choose to use and/or refer to a physician who uses Cox® Technic flexion distraction) based on clinical outcomes of pain relief. Cox® Technic and its physicians/researchers strive to build the foundation for this evidence based practice system, ready for today's demanding medical care system.

And today's certified Cox® Technic physicians are ready to deliver evidence based care and strive to carry on the tradition initiated by Cox® Technic's developer, Dr. James Cox, for evidence based practice in the care of spine pain, neck pain, arm pain, back pain, leg pain, etc.

Thousands of physicians – the top chiropractors – worldwide use Cox® Technic to treat …
  • low back and leg pain
  • neck and arm pain
  • other spinal conditions, including but not limited to …
    • synovial cysts
    • degenerated discs
    • herniated discs
    • stenosis
    • spondylolisthesis
    • facet syndrome

...basically to treat the 1 out of 4 patients who are 95% of the cost of back pain healthcare - the disc herniation and stenosis cases - in addition to the other spine pain conditions.

A referral network of Cox® Technic-certified chiropractors is established from doctors’ attendance at special seminars and training courses in Cox® protocols. Supporting this referral network is the National University of Health Sciences Post Graduate Division (nuhs.edu).

Note, too, that Cox® Technic is taught at nearly all chiropractic colleges as a core or elective course.
