An attendee's reflection on her attendance at the Fort Wayne April 2024 Parts I/II Lumbar Spine Course with Drs. Joachim, Hazen and Cox...
It was such a privilege to attend the COX seminar this past April. I feel like I have found what I’m supposed to do with my life. I feel like I finally have the tools to help the people who need it most. This experience has given me a newfound sense of confidence and a wealth of resources to draw upon when faced with complex cases. This knowledge will undoubtedly benefit my patients and enhance the quality of care I provide.
I felt that the hands-on portion of the course was very thorough and helped me to feel confident utilizing the different protocols. We were able to become comfortable with the table as well - it truly is an incredible tool.
One of the key takeaways from the seminar was the realization that gentle techniques like Cox Flexion Distraction are the way forward in chiropractic. This approach not only provides relief to patients suffering from spinal conditions, but it also minimizes discomfort and maximizes safety. Witnessing the positive impact this technique had on patients solidified my commitment to practicing in a gentle and measured manner.
Additionally, the seminar reminded me that there is still so much we can learn from our patients. The importance of continued research and staying open to new ideas was emphasized throughout the event. This encouraged me to be more attentive to my patients' experiences and seek innovative ways to improve their care.
Attending the COX seminar not only equipped me with valuable skills and knowledge; it also helped to further shape my chiropractic philosophy. It has allowed me to reconnect with my passion for chiropractic care and has given me a renewed sense of purpose in my professional life. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have attended and am excited for the positive impact it will have on my practice and the lives of my patients. ~ CS
