This is a huge statistic that needs more exposure...especially in today's world of research and reports that tend to not even acknowledge chiropractic's contribution to back pain and neck pain care:
A STUDY OF 1885 WORKERS SHOWED 174 (9.2%) HAD
A LUMBAR SPINE SURGERY WITHIN 3 YEARS. REDUCED ODDS OF SURGERY WERE OBSERVED
FOR THOSE UNDER AGE 35, WOMEN, HISPANICS, AND THOSE WHOSE FIRST PROVIDER WAS A
CHIROPRACTOR. 42.7% OF WORKERS WHO FIRST SAW A SURGEON HAD SURGERY, IN CONTRAST
TO ONLY 1.5% OF THOSE WHO SAW A CHIROPRACTOR.
Only 1.5% of back pain patients seeing a chiropractor first went on for back surgery while 42.7% of those who saw a surgeon first went on to back surgery. Astounding!
Share this stat! Chiropractic is beneficial.
