Dr. Skibsted is a Doctor of Chiropractic and a 1981 graduate of Northwestern University of Health Sciences, bringing you 30 years of clinical experience. He is a certified practitioner of Cox® Decompression and Flexion/Distraction Manipulation Technic.
Dr. Skibsted is a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists (DABCO). He is a Fellow of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (FACO) and has been the Vice President of the Board of Directors since 2002. Dr. Skibsted serves as an examiner in the administration of the Orthopedic Specialty Board Certification Examination of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists in conjunction with the American College of Chiropractic Orthopedists and Council of Chiropractic Orthopedists.
Dr. Skibsted is a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Examiners (DABFE), and a Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners International (FACFEI). He is also a Fellow of the American Association of Integrative Medicine (FAAIM). Dr. Skibsted is currently retired from 8-years of service as a Chief Examiner for Part IV of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Since 2004, Dr. Skibsted has served on the Credentialing Committee of the Iowa Chiropractic Physician's Clinic (ICPC), a single specialty independent provider network for Iowa and surrounding Midwestern states. He was appointed to the position of Chief Utilization Officer in 2010.
Dr. Skibsted was recognized for his Outstanding Achievement by the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists in 2006. He received the Distinguished Service Award from the Academy in 2009, and the Academy's Distinguished Fellow Award for meritorious accomplishments in 2010. As a Fellow of the American Association of Integrative Medicine (FAAIM), he was recognized for his Outstanding Service as a member of the 2002 Chiropractic Advisory Board.
